What prop to run? And to much stern lift
I have a 26 velocity with a 572 c.i 900 h.p 10-71 bds blower. Bravo1 with 1.5 gears (i think). I have a 34p labbed bravo1 prop to try. Does this sound in the ball park. I hear 36 possably or a 32. So any input is great.
2nd part question. The boat had to much stern lift with the 650 h.p. 509 c.i. 250 blower motor with a hydromotive 28p QIV. How do i take care of this. How much does it affect control speed cruisin speed fuel consumption and planeing
Thanks

A 32 Bravo will turn a little less rpm's than a 28 Hydro but you are in the ball park if both props are stock. Hydro's have stern lift and Bravo's wil carry the bow more. The Velocity hull with that huge flat pad will naturally lift the stern so I'd say try the Bravo 1 prop.

Thanks guys. yea im going to try the 34 bravo, its labbed, and see what happens. I used a 24 bravo1 4 blade from Airtime (arti) just for test purposed i got to about 74 mph with it before it tach'd out but the bow and stern were better sitting. The blow out wasnt at all as bad but also the prop was much smalled then i needed to run.

As for the 5 blade Maximus prop thats totally out of the question. Its a Bravo 1 drive only with imco's for gears the power i have will eat that drive up in 1 outing, you know that Pete, so ill stay with the 4 blade for now just to hopefully make it the season taking it easy. Also Griff the boat is a true 26 now its the 280 Velocity, Its really a Steve Stepp ThoroughBred
