U-Haul hitches
Need comments from those who have dealt with U-Haul hitches. Would you guys recommend it for towing 6000lbs 1200miles at least twice a year?
I know this topic really belongs in trucks and trailers, but general usually gets higher volume traffic.

I had a uhaul hitch on my last truck and pulled a 5k+ loaded CC to miami a few times and was always(every other weekend) pulling it 200 miles or so to go fishing.
Never had one problem.

U-haul tends to be a little on the pricey side IMO. At least they are in my area. Check out a local truck accessory shop. I get phone calls all the time from customers that have gotten bids from U-Haul. I don't bid stuff cheap and our pricing is usually substantially cheaper.
As for ratings....a class rated hitch is just what it is. If it's rated for a certain amount then you will be covered to that weight. (as long as the vehicle can handle it too)
You will get more response in the truck and trailer forum with this topic. That was it's intended purpose. Moot point I guess, as this thread will be moved to that forum shortly.
