Stealth Baja (EU approved)

35OL with the new Merc X-haust system. Didn't specify if the motors were 600's, 700's or EU662's but it does meet the EU's very strict noise level requirements. I think it sounds kind of cool myself!

Cool blower whine, but too quiet for me.

wantingmore 02-14-2008 12:05 PM

I love loud pipes, but that does sound pretty cool.

Coolerman 02-14-2008 12:10 PM

Info from another site leads me to believe they're
662's

ITS THE BLOWER WHINE THAT SOUNDS COOL SO N/A MOTORS WON'T HAVE ANY WHINE:( I LIKE MY DRY PIPES:grinser010::cool-smiley-026::D

320es 02-14-2008 02:09 PM

N/A motors are probably dead quite. That would just take too much of the fun out of hp boats.

Michael1 02-14-2008 02:26 PM

It's OK if you like a boat that sounds like an electric motor.:(

x-haust

Yeah that does sound good but without SCs it would be
pretty blah! Ill take some exhaust notes any day!

dykstra 02-15-2008 10:34 AM

I like loud pipes!

TEAMBAJA 02-15-2008 04:23 PM

Im pretty sure we all like loud boats. Maybe you guys are missing the point of this.:)

"X-haust was designed to meet strict European marine noise regulations. Mercury Racing used a Baja 35 Outlaw equipped with X-haust and twin 662 SCi engines to pass the European Union's (EU) Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) strict noise standards. Now, Baja will be one of the first boat manufacturers to feature X-haust in both European and North American markets. "

The Baja demo boat is a couple slips down from our dock-spots at the in water show.

That boat is COMPLETELY silent around the docks.
