They only build 12 a year. They are factory direct - no dealers except for mfg. representatives across the country. They are from a small town 2 hours north of St. Louis - so it is a very family orientated facility and not a mass production pick a number type facility. So we do know a lot about the boats. Out of all the Black Thunders, I like the orange one pictured in Powerboat mag. last year the best (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

I was going to buy a Black Thunder. Bob Jenkins invited me to LOTO, let me use the boat the whole weekend . The boat was a 93 43gt with 502's. Toured the factory and seen the product from start to a finished product, Bob built a great boat then . The only reason I did not purchase I could not get the bank to work the numbers for me. After a weekend of use there was no hard feelings . He tried his best to make the numbers work. I would be very surprised that Bob would let a Black Thunder run around with holes in it. The boats that left the plant were always tested and ran. They would spend time with the owners and make sure they were happy.Just my 2 cents!

All I can say is if it is still going to court, I wouldnt post Sh!T!! Once all the paper work has been done and the case is over with I would then post. I wouldnt ruin my chances for a settlement just to appease you guys that call bluff on here! And so everyone knows, I have recieved a new Monterey with 2- 3/16" holes drilled clean thru the cabin floor thru the bottom! Under the carpet and all! So it can happen. :D
