Maybe I'm wrong but it seams to me that your still getting the left hand shaft. As for the left Vs. Right deal, is there a way that you can get a left hand TRS to test? See how it is goes..... Then make up your mind what drive you want. |
The boat is completely apart now as i am doing a total rebuild fresh gelcoat. The trs stuff is gone. My receipt says a righthand drive but with the dealer out of business now. The shipping i agreed to and was happy that i would not have to spend any money on any other parts to make it a right hand. I feel that Konrad is doing right by me.

Right hand rotation is normally used on singles to counteract the weight of the driver on the right side of the boat. If your boat is perfectly balanced side-to-side as you usually run it, then drive roatation should have no physical effect. On the other hand, if you always run with some "generously proportioned" guests on the left side of the boat (or keep your oversize cooler over there), left hand rotation would be better.
Left hand props will probably always be harder to find, though... |
Sorry for the delay in reply, been on the road for the past few days.
Typically we try to set up single engine boats with a left hand drive as the left hand unit is a bit stronger than a right hand due to the placement of the lower drive gear. I suggest trying it to see how the boat runs with a left hand configuration. If you are not happy with the performance, shoot me an email and I'll get it taken care of asap. [email protected] |
