Just returned from the Tres Martin school WOW

I just returned from ocala fl where I attended The ultra high performance boat school. Tres was my teacher, the class was amazing. I have driven boats for years but after taking the class I feel much more confident about my driving. I can not express in words how important it is to learn these skills that he teach's you. I just moved over to cats from v bottoms. I can now turn my cat and trim properly, which everyone thinks they know but really dont. The class also helps you to understand the hydrodynamics of a boat and how the boat works. This allows you to understand and prevent possible wrecks before they happen. I highly suggest the class for the novice to the so called expert beacuse after you are done you will understand how I feel. Thanks agian Tres for the great class and showing me how to drive my boat the right way, safe and controlled.

.......so, how much faster is your boat now?

johnlomant 02-27-2008 02:31 PM

My boat is plenty fast but I now feel safe driving the boat at any speed. On the other hand the boat now handles like its on rails, because I know how to steer it properly. :D

So ..... what would be the one thing that you learned that you thought you knew the right way but learned otherwise ? I have heard it's an awsome course .....m

How to trim a boat properly from a stop to full speed in rough and smooth water conditions, and how to turn a boat properly. Both of these things I was sure I knew what I was doing but I was way off . After you learn the right way on paper and then the next day actually do them you know right away how off you really were.
