Ok I have an Idea (very expensive but still an idea)
We have been taking photos of custom cars then photoshoping a cool backround to them to create and unique look for someones car to plaque and hang on a wall Recently we did a floor mat 4' x 3' for a customer with his car we had already photoshopped his car for plaquing so the art cost were paid for and the finished plaque turned out great The Mat is made of rubber and wont slip and would be something cool to have onboard with a picture of your boat either with or without the custom backround I am taking it with me to the Detroit World of wheels show (We have a booth there) to display it before it goes off to the customer let me take a picture a minute and i will post what it looks like I am in the shop today anyway |
3 Attachment(s)
1) The Car as we shot it at a car show
2) Photoshop layout we did for him before making the plaque 3) finished Plaque after customer decided he just wanted the car on the plaque |

Floor mat we did from the picture

finished pictures were taken with cheap digital so the color ios not as good in the shot as when we used our good camera for the actual pictures
the finished product in same light is much more red |
Thanks for all of the responses...they address what I'm looking for, something that can be stored and deployed easily without having to worry about damaging the paint and keeping people safe... I was also thinking of some of those shower mats they advertise on TV that come in rolls and different colors, they might work well too...
And Jeff I'd love to see what your's looks like... |

A rug shop will have rolls of anti-slip mat made for laying under rugs. They cut it to fit. it's more durable than the toolbox stuff and cheaper. it's also usually beige, not black. Look for a place that sells those high-end persian rugs & such. JC Penney may have it too.
