Default New Mercrusier 1050 SCI

I was at the miami show yesterday. I seen a few new engines The mercrusier 1050sci wow what a monster. 557 ci 1000 hp quad rotor supercharger with sequential fuel injection and smart craft electronics. Also seen the 525EFI - looks just like the 500EFI. but with 500Hp

Mercury had an all aluminum 700 inch natural efi that they called experimental.

That's allot of **** on that engine, hehe in my opinion anyway. I bet it idles and runs well though. I know you have to tear it down after 70 hrs. I thought it was 542cu? But the first tear down is included in the price. The 700cu Merc NA was an AllStar block wasn't it? I think the price on it w/ the new dry sump drive (herring design etc. new mist system) was absurd. The engine alone was around 70k. But it's a good step for mercury,I would've liked to have seen a 1100-1250SCI on a 700cu block

A tear down every 70 hours!!! Too rich for my blood. Does look like a sweet engine though!

Does anybody have any more info on the 525EFI? Is this a replacement for the HP500? what about availability and cost compared to the HP500???

blowers look familar? Motor is only about 10-15" lower than the 900SC, screw compressors, EFI, warrantied, what more can you ask for! Awesome!
