Typhoon Service Center (Important Announcement)

This past week it was very disturbing to me that with all the work, money and preperations I am making for the new buisness I have to here rumors that are being spread that we are going out of buisness, We have always had a good service department and we have changed our gears to better our service and brokerage buisness so with this in mind for 2008 should be a banner year for Typhoon.

March 10 2008
For immediate Release:
We at Typhoon Service Center in Toms River NJ have switched gears, with the economy at the worst in past years we felt the need to get out of new boat sales and concentrate on the best in marine service in the Ocean County area.
We have expanded our Service Department to a much larger indoor facility to accomidate Vessels up to 50ft.
We understand how short our boating season is in NJ area so we have added additional Marine Technitions all Mercury Certified to our staff, Insuring that your vessel gets the attention and service you need to get back on the water fast!

We have added a few new services to our venue.
For customers living in Toms River or Brick area.
1) Consierge Service: We will come pick up your boat at your house, buisness or Marina. Boats on dry land must have there own trailer.
2) Mobile Marine Service: From June to Sept we will come to your house and repair any above waterline problem you may be having. This service will be Monday through Sunday and Sunday will be for Emergency Service Only.
3) The best in In/Out service with a 20 Ton Travel lift and Summer Storage.
4) Haul in and Out: We offer short haul, haul and block, acid washing, detailing.
5) Winter/Summer Storage: We also offer the best in Winter and Summer storage our facility has a secure gate and is large enough to store up to 200 Boats.
6) Performance Boat Brokerage: We at Typhoon Service Center have been in the performance boat world for more then half our lives from racing to poker runs we can sell your Performance Boat.
Sincerely
Frank Civitano GM

This is not a bad thing? We actually have a great Service Department and I am excited to take Typhoon to the next level, Without Warranty work from new boats I can concentrate on whats most important our regular service customers that depend on us year after year.

The new set up at Typhoon is awesome!
The whole crew is truly top notch and you will be hard pressed to find a better all around service center.
Aside from what Frank already stated they also have:
In house and mobile detailing by Hurricane Force Detailing that is second to none.
Full electronic installations.
Trailer service and repairs.
They are also connected with some great outside resources for:
Paint and fiberglass repairs.
Custom Upholstery.
T-tops and arches.
Boat lifts.

I will not trust my boat with anyone else.

With the NJ boating season being so short, we need to have the kind of service that Typhoon has. Last year I lost the whole season on my boat due to circumstances beyond anyone's control and it stunk. Thank goodness I had a lot of good friends with boats!

FeverMike 03-11-2008 04:48 PM

I think this is a smart move. Used boats will continue to sell and people will always need service on them. The new boat market is horrible.

Top Ven 03-11-2008 04:59 PM

We use Typhoon on both of our Cigarette to do all the work, we think they are great guys & do great work

Good Luck expanding in the new direction...that's what it takes these days is people who don't sit around and wait for the end to come and go out and find a place where they can survive and :ernaehrung004:thrive...

Best of Wishes....

Frank,
Had I ever heard of this I certainly would have set them straight.
The only thing I can think of is maybe the slight name change from Typhoon Marine Performance Center to Typhoon Service Center, I can see perhaps someone got the wrong idea even after all of the publicity given to it, someone is always bound to get it wrong.

Let it be known:

TYPHOON SERVICE CENTER is OPEN and ready for the 2008 Season ! ! !

I hope that helps.

Good luck Frank !

bojoe2 03-11-2008 10:43 PM

I must say, TYPHOON is so on top of there GAME rite now anybody with those rumers should take a ride to Toms River NJ to Kettle Creek Rd and look at there winter storage yard all the boats in there. Also look in there shop at all the jobs they have in progress, not to count the waiting list to get winter project's done I should know I"m on the list and I will wait for QUALITY service that is 2nd to none. One of the OFFICIAL NJPPC MERCURY service centers :boat:

Is Typoon under new ownership??

Walking down the street I picked up a new Salty Dog and in the main add it says "Under New Ownership".

I knew the direction changed but didn't know there was a new owner. Who owns it now?

Shanghied Again 04-17-2008 09:49 AM

The property was sold but Typhoon is here to stay, Same people own Typhoon and I am still running the Marina.
