Mike:
Both decent express cruisers. I have surveyed both brands many times. Regal gets a little more respect in the resale market. If you're buying used get a survey!

check out the fountain express cruiser. Mine is available if your interested, it has twin custom 640 hp, run roughly 80 mph. Leaves wonders at the poker runs how such a big boat moves the way it does

check out the Formula 400SS before you buy..........

t500hps 03-13-2008 06:45 PM

I had express cruisers for 10 years before buying a performance boat. Never had either brand. Consider the speed these boats travel, not that you'll be un-happy at the speed it moves, but the time it takes to get from point A to point B. That was my biggest hang-up. A trip we now make in 1.75 hour used to take 4 hours!!!! Considering your choices also have BBC's your fuel burn will more than DOUBLE.
Now, once you get there.....you'll enjoy yourself more being able to walk around in the boat. Just consider the trade-offs and decide.....

BTW: I'm ready to sell the 382 and get into a 370SS for these reasons.

i have 2005 rinker 360 39ft. with 200 fresh water hours extended warrantys till 2009, color is the most popular, white with tan.i will take $135,000 firm.A lot of boat for the money

CAP071 03-16-2008 04:39 PM

I owned a Rinker. Then traded upto a Chaparral Whoa what a boat that was. Try looking at Chaparrals

GO4BROKE 03-16-2008 04:46 PM

Wife loves Chaparrals.
I want a Sunseeker.
75 Predator is first choice, 48 Superhawk actually a possibility.

CAP071 03-16-2008 04:52 PM

I was impressed with the Chaparrals quality compared to the other boats. I had a 33 and it was everything plus. And I used the thing it held up great. You owe them a look

Mike,

if ya end up going the Formula route, let me know, I may have a connection for ya. I had a smaller, older RInker 250 Fiesta Vee, nothing special, but it got the job done.
