Question Baja Stringer Problems?

I was about to purchase a 29 baja outlaw, Until a few people from the board said that baja had problems with the stringers in the 29 outlaws prior to mid 2000, Does anyone know exactly what's with this? Maybe I should call baja and ask them?

Thanks in advance

call baja, there's a sure way to not get a straight answer... I've never heard anything about it, but I know if there is a place to find out the truth, this is it. I can say there's alot aroung here that have so many water blisters on the bottom it probably vebtilates the bottom just like a stepped hull, that's why I would stay away from them, but if a 99 doesnt have them by now, you're probably safe.

I ran across a web site that looks like it was created to vent frustration...however, you may run across someone that has experienced that problem.

A freind of mines 1997 29 busted a stringer that the engine mounts to at full throttle at the travis poker run , could have been very bad when it killed one moter and turned and threw every body in the floor and the lanyard not connected with nobody wearing life jackets, that taught me a lesson, but baja took care of everything

hey that problem only affected less than 1% of the 29 outlaws. and Baja takes care of it in the off season for you, and water blisters man i see them from time to time on ANY boat, its not just Baja,

Do a search on the old board. There were several topics on this last summer.
