The New Site, the party, etc.
 

First and foremost ... thanks to all of you who attended our party! We think it was a huge success and we hope to make it an annual event which will become bigger and better each year.

As for the new format, the Board, etc. we are listening to all the input - both positive and negative - and will be making the changes we feel are necessary to insure that we provide all of you with the best possible experience on OSO.

As all of you know you can never make everyone happy and the best we can do is to try to make the majority happy. Give us time to work out the bugs, move some sections around, and then let us know what you think.

For those of you who have "thanked us" we appreciate your support. We hope that those of you who may be skeptical will give us the benefit of the doubt and know that in time ... we'll make it right and hopefully win your confidence over.

Once again ... thanks to those of you who attended the party and thanks to those of you who appreciate our hard work.

I know what it's like to do an install and migration, nightmare!! Keep up the good work and increase the Avatar File size to 65x65! :D

Believe it or not, this board seems be be running smoother for me than the old. For some reason the old board would lock up on me and never finish loading a page. I would always have to refresh the page once or twice to pull it up. :confused: :confused: Great job guys!!!

Yup, Thanks for all the work, just wish I had a better internet provider at home. Actually, Im pretty sure it is the phone lines and switching station that is antique.

hey i like the new forum good job luckily i had cable modem installed while oso was updated so the new site seems way faster now!! for those using dial up it IS worth the extra money really!

Thank you and all who have made this possible. You have a great site. I'm sure advertisers are realizing the potential here.
I have had the same results as Sharkey. The board seems to run much quicker with less hang-ups. I'm using a high-speed cable modem. Keep up the great work.

Putting up a good web site is a lot harder than it looks. Good job! I use a cable modem and the board seems faster than before, even with the extra images. I'm trying to get my power vs. speed calculator up and running, so I can appreciate what you went through. Love the start-up audio!

Thanks to Jeffery, Steve and all the OSO grew. Great board and what a fantastic job for the Miami OSO Party. Met so many super members, spouses and friends from across the country. Had numerous invitations from members to visit them and join in events in their areas. Been going to Miami Show for over 20 years and this was great addition. Had OSO shirts on for 3 days and was surprised by the number of people who stopped to ask what OSO was and by other members. Wish I could have met all there but time was limited. Lets do more! Gary :) :) :)

The new board is great! It takes some adjustment as do most things that change but I think it will work out for the best.

Thanks to OSO for the great time in Miami. I know that the HRPA members that attended had a great time! It was good to meet many of you and put a face to the names.

Jeffrey, the new site kicks ass. It may not load quickly on dial up but I don't think that dial up users are the majority any more. Before anyone attacks I'm on dial up at home!:mad:

Thanks for all the hard work and effort you guys put into this site. It is obvious that a lot of time and work went into the redesign and I think it is great! It seems for the most part a little faster and smoother and I definately enjoy and like the new features.

The OSO party in Miami this past Friday was top notch.
Thank to everyone who made it possible. Didn't get to talk to too many people (time limited), but did meet a few.

Also, the new Cig is waaay sweet! I love the non rubrail look. Really cleans up the lines.

Well, while I did say so elsewhere, let me make an official statement (better late than never).

Much thanks for the invite to your aces party! As a junior member of OSO (when exactly does that senior thing kick in?) I have to say that registering to your site has not only enabled me to add my "free sense worth," it enables access to some really super people - many of which I met at Monty's. Oh, and just to add...the new site is exemplary!

Jeffrey, the OSO party in Miami was great. Can't wait for next year. As for the new board, I think a lot of people just don't like change or something, once they get used to it they'll be fine. I think it's a lot faster, but the pictures were getting a little out of hand. Hope your time away was good. Welcome home.
