Dyno info needed

Who makes the best and most accurate Dynos?

In NJ, who would you take an engine to just to have it run on a dyno?

Thanks

Allways heard the Freud brake then the http://www.stuskadyno.com/

software

you tuning or just breaking it in?

If it hasn't been properly calibrated, then none of them. They will all measure consistently and do the proper break in, and show you performance increase, decrease, power band, fuel etc. Whatever you want to know, but if you are comparing one engine to the other, then the engines have to be run on the same dyno for comparison, or they have to be run on a calibrated and certified machine.

Curious to see what the GURU's have to say about my opinion.

Are you wanting to buy one for yourself, or what?

Hey Ron,

In NJ, you go to Johnny Blewett out off Rt 70 just outside Lakewood. He is very good. If you want more HP go to Kurts though. His Dyno always makes more HP than anyone elses:p

Your question is accurate dyno - you need an AC electric brake/absorber or Eddy Current not a water brake, these are the most accurate and the most responsive.

AC's are basically a generator with a rheostat on a load bank.

As far a brands??? We had both Clayton and Superflow water brakes. The Clayton was more accurate and could hold a load much better than the Superflow.

The electric brake, don't remember a brand, it was built with peices over the years.

He used to do work on Penske's IROC motors. Very good, very helpful.
He puts in real numbers, fuel weight, temp, pressure, ect. so his outputs are real numbers.

If you are looking to compare a 525 to a base line. We have run a dozen on the same dyno in Wall twp.
