Shane,Ryan or Toold
Can one of you guys tell me how high your motors are off the bottom of the boat? Thanks Mike

Mike,
If memory serves me correctly mine are 1.75 inches above the bottom as measured from the prop shaft in a level position. Because of the unseasonably WARM weather I will bringing my boat out of storage shortly and begin some major touchup work and will measure them for you then if you would like. I hope you are well and good luck. Let me know if you need anything else. Shane:cool: |
Too old , just wondering what everybody is running their lowers at, I usually measure from the bottom of the boat to the point of the nose cone, if you take a straight edge and put it on the bottom of the boat, measure from the straight edge up to the nose cone, should be about a inch to a inch and 3/4's. Thanks

Shane thanks for the info, I just spent a weekend lifting the motors up , I'm at 1-1/2 inches, running transom water pickups, haven't tested yet cause my little guy is in a rodeo today so I 'll be hanging out with a bunch of tobacco chewing redneck cowboys, Hope all is well with you and the family. Talk to you soon

Yeeeeeeeee Haawwwwwwwww! Good luck to the little guy! Let us know how he makes out! Let me know what you think of the water pickups. I was thinking of doing the same as when I trim it out the motors get hot. I thought that might help eliviate some of the problem. Keep me posted.

Shane, the little cowboy took 3rd place, he got his first trophy, I made my pickups from stainless, my buddy bought his from Bobs machine, he plumbed his right into the inspection plate on the side of the lower, I got mine running into the adapter plate, with check valves, I should get out this weekend, I'll let you know, should be up in the 120 range.:D :D :D :D

Too Old I love the older 2.4 cowls I think there awesome, I wanted to make a mailbox out of one but the wife wouldn't let me. :D

Mike CONGRATS to the little cowboy. Much continued success to him and let me know how the low water pickups work out.
