No sleep lost here at all, but I have to say that if Reggie claims he will break a certain speed you can take it to the bank. It will sure be interesting to see how this all plays out. |

I believe we will see some great direction out of this aquistion. Mr. Fountain and his team knows what they are doing. Once the dust settles their will be a single boat builder with a product line up that spans from open bow family performance, Fishing, Cruiser, and WOT Sport Boat. WOW what a "Full-Throttle Line Up" that will be. How many other builders can offer such a great range of products in a state of the art facility. Fountain in one move has now raised the bar once again, their are few if any other boat builders that will offer such a "High Performance Line Up". WILL MURRAY:D |
I think every Fountain owner has owned a Baja at one time...I had 2, a 272 and a 32 OutLaw.

Reggie will be here Monday so hopefully we will know something soon. A few area business have signs up welcoming him to town and encouraging him to keep the plant open. I thought that was kinda cool. :cool-smiley-011:

Dock.. I agree personally agree with you. It would have been nice to see the tour continue. I was just looking at it from Fountain's viewpoint. Speculatively. It makes no sense financially to support a marketing tour for a model that is being eliminated.
I hope that this merger benefits Baja. Allowing the experience and performance gains that Fountain has to be applied to the Baja lineup. I would hate to see Baja become the financial work-mule for Fountain to continue to develope and showcase the Fountain lineup while the Baja lineup dwells at a lower eschelon, handicapped performancewise so not to share the pedestal yet providing a solid base. Only time will tell. It would be interesting to see what a aerodynamic Baja deck can do with a efficient stepped hull with carbon fiber layup. Might make a few other brands shake... |
