Default Oil Filter PN Help

I have 496 and have been running a Fram HP1 filter asn the past own had been. I have not heard the best thing about fram so I am tring to move to a Wix, Baldwin or K&N filter.

However I can not find the match up for that filter, the HP1 on frams site on lists it for Porshe not any GM or Merc motors.

Any idea what filter number I need ?

You could try an AMSOIL EAO oil filter, its an EAO-25 or if you have a little extra room, there is also a longer version (about and inch) an EAO-24.

I have used litterly hundreds of thousands of Fram filters and have never had a problem. Their HP filters are great quality!

Get the Wix Racing/Napa 1060R from from your local Napa. It'll cost about $13 bucks.

The Law

Check out the Massey-Ferguson Act. It's a federal law.

Good filter use em for my customers. Go to a truck or tractor parts store. Have them bring em by the case with their normal resupply shipment and you'll get a better price.

The issue I have is I have a remote filter hookup and I am not sure of the thread. I have a Fram HP1 on it which no one lists a cross reference for. Balwin says too use they B253, how ever it is about half the size of the Fram.

The HP1 is an extremely high flow oil filter. I have WIX number for you, it is a 51515R.
