I think this boat just looks smoking hot!
I look forward to seeing it in full dress - and I would have picked the exact color scheme myself as what you are considering. Love the idea of the LED's in the recess. Have you chosen a color for those?? My first thought is blue, but, it probably just wouldn't be right to do it in any other color than Pantera green. |

It was done the same on both sides in the mold just the picture taken at different times. Here is a picture of the lamination. Alot of work and thought went into doing this process with the recessed hull sides.No room for error !! My Father did a great job of coming up with the way to make this process work in the lamination. For the last couple of years I have thought that hull sides on boats look to plain and wanted to add a unique style to them. Thinking of doing the recessed hull sides on our 36' and new 41' model also. Customer can order their new Pantera's with or without them.I personally love the agressive look. ... There is no "floating" if anything it is a one time shot of lining up the inserts. Once they were put in place over the skin coat they were tabed in place and subsequently laminated w/ the hull sides. Once you pull the hull out of the mold, the skin coat is opened up to reveal the inserts and some patch work is done around the edges of the insert. That will conclude Boat building 101 for today. later, Pp. |

Thanks gentlemen. I didn't think you could pull the hull forward or up out of the mold if the insets were somehow fixed to the mold. I'm an engineer by trade, and was trying to figure out exactly how you guys made that work.
