A few friends and I are looking to do a Yacht Charter in the Caribbean over the Christmas holiday this year. I have had two friends that have done this in the past and have booked with the company from the link below, does anyone recommend another company does someone on OSO own a company I should be using someone else???? Basically I need feedback, pros cons anything I should avoid???

Moorings is good, can have a captain or rent and bare boat. When we bare boated we rented from Virgin Traders, a 48ft 3br aft cabin. If you want a sailboat get a cat if you have more than 4 people.

There are also many private crewed yachts for charter. Here is one I've been on...(no A/c though so it depends on what time of year...gets hot in by May)

We have done several charters but only one where we captained the boat in BVI and we used Virgin Traders. All of the other charters were yachts and they all come with complete crew (the best way to go!).

Click on the link above, I'm looking for a Bare Boat type charter and they lay out your week for you with slip assignments at different ports/Marinas etc... Not the Mega Ship Charters, way out of my league!! The boat that the Moorings has to offer has 4 bedrooms and 5 heads and is 47'... To rent the boat its around 10K for the week and we would split it up per couple.... So it makes it a different type of vacation but no more exspensive then booking a room at a resort in the Caribbean for a week....

i'm from the caribean , been in all the island , nice place for vacations. if was my choice i will rent in st.thomas.
