Default Pick up 9.1 MPH, Bravo to Alpha

There is a thread on Scream and Fly about a small block 21 Shadow that picked up 9.1 MPH by switching from a Bravo I with an Imco lower to a cut down Alpha drive. I found this hard to believe, but I know some of the people who where there, and certified it with their GPS.

What do you think!!

Sounds high, but It could be possible. I know my 20' Baja gained 5 MPH going from a stock Alpha to an Alpha SS. That guy is making his Alpha even shorter than the SS.

dont alphas do OK with small blocks because of the tq difference? i was under the impression the bravos came out to handle the higher torque of the big blocks..

even if you had to swap out a few a year, itd still be cheaper than replacin one bravo! haha.

That guy, TrippleDigits, has been banned from OSO and a few other sites. He made many outrageous claims, one of which was the fact that he had a PHD degree in engineering. Yet, he couldn't put a sentence together. Further, his claims of a cut down alpha exceeding 100 mph with a small block were never backed up with ANYTHING. When his feet were put to the fire for proof, he responded so belligerently that he was banned. I don't believe a word he writes.
