Is it possible to remove???
I have been seeing a bunch of older boats with those tall wings on the back (like Miami Vice style)..... is it possible to remove those things? Do most of them just bolt on or are the 'glassd on as part of the boat? Have any of you ever removed one of these things.... if so how difficult was it?

Yes it is possible to remove them. Unless it is built into the boat (then that is going to require cutting and reglassing and either paint or gelcoat). Most are bolted and 5200ed which can prove to be interesting to separate sometimes. Patience and some prying help. Then all else fails do as I do get a BIG hammer

Awesome. I was hoping for bolts. I've actually used a variation of the piano wire for removing badges and stuff from cars/motorcycles. Works very well.

I'd be very careful keeping it off permanently. High speed stability could be adversely affected. Midship laminar airflow enhancement is critical to compress trailing vortices from the windshield on these models. See Dodge Daytona Superbird aerodynamics for supporting evidence of this REALLY IMPORTANT phenomenon. Be careful out there - Jeff
