I like the timed event and sounds like a good set up. Glassdave is in with me so I'll wait for the email and get the fees sent in.

Juast got off the phone with an race entrant that has a boat with some unusual history to it.

It holds the Seattle to Ketchikan, Alaska record and also the Four Corners of Lake Michigan record.

It is a 28 foot outboard Skater with larger than normal fuel tanks. More info and photos to follow.

This is the kind of entrant that we were hoping to attract. New blood to the sport that wants to experience that open ocean racing for the first time.

Charlie, I can get Jim and Chris Muir, who do all my art and styling work, to design a patch for the race. They did my Thunderboat Row medallion, and did a beautiful job. In addition, Aronow's long time glass foreman, Perucho, has a son, Chito, in the cnc embroidery bidness. What do you think? A lot of poker run types would like to have a hero badge to sew onto their jackets...................

If I can make a suggesiton: a large patch which could be framed would be a nice addition.
