Survey questions
So if a seller says they have new survey available, do you trust what they have? Or do you insist on having your own guy do it? Just wondering.... if it has already been done by a credible person would you want to spend the money to do it again? Not trying to be cheap, by any means, just dont want to spend money without necessity.
Also, are some people more credible than others?

I pre exsisting survey is a nice thing to look at however you really want your own guy in there with your BEST intrest in mind.
Defenitily more credible ones out there. If you are buying a performance boat try to find someone who knows the engines and drives of a performance boat. If you can find somone that specizlizes in high performance boats Like Ed cozzie then you are really in business.

Thanks, Westcoast.
My first question would be: "How old is this survey?" Any more than a few months and it is worthless for insurance or financing. It is a conflict of interest for the seller to provide you with a survey. He has too much to gain if there is anything major wrong with his boat that he is hiding.
Westcoast is right on the money. You need YOUR guy protecting your interests. Good Luck.
