Who would build this?
After a weekend in St. Pete with the Edock boys, im pretty sure the sunsation will be sportin a "for sale" sign shortly.. But I cant find anything in the classifieds that matches what Im lookin for.. I shared a beer with Randy Scism and he didnt seem real thrilled about my idea of a 32 MTI with bravos..haha..
My new ride (if i could find one like this) would be as follows:
a 32-34' cat.
It would need to be a centered front seat with shoulder to shoulder seating to share poker run driving with a throttleman but stil be able to be driven by one person. No canopies. A full Port to Starboard roadster style screen. A four person shoulder to shoulder back seat with buckets at floor level.
Full analog instrumentation, no fancy GPS. A mild stereo with a sub and amp, no TV screens or anything.
Heres the tricky part. Id want 525's with XR's. Being it would only be a 32 or 34' boat, 525's would carry it well past the beginners safety zone..
But I cant find anything like this.. If they made something similar, Id probably be pretty interested in it. With a rig like this, you could grow into the boat. You could change out motors and drives in a few years, add some fancy paint, more electronics, etc.. I guess thats the same for any boat but itd be nice to find a quality cat brand new under $200k that would be easier to insure, operate and learn without dropping $300k or more.. I know theres a few used Nortechs, MTI's and Skaters starting to get into that price range but most of them are comin up for $25k rebuilds and need work, plus they are canopy boats with different seating than Id want..
Any ideas? Does anyone know of a company building something like this that I havent seen yet?
Dammm you e-dock guys.

The 32 Spectre is pretty close to what you want, just not sure on how production is doing now a days. I think the smallest MTI will go is the 36 they just released which is a show stopper!!

Having a custom built boat and waiting two years is probably out of my reach. Not sure how the bank would feel about starting that kinda project with me..
