Boat Covers

i am in the market for a boat cover . anyone have any recomendations on what kind and the material i should look for ?? the boat will be outside in all kinds of weather from the hot sun to snow in the winter time i have a 23 foot boat so what kinda price range are we looking at??

i believe our new one is sunbrella (sp?). came new with the boat last year. it sits outside from early april to late october and havent had any problems with it. on our last boat the cover lasted 8+ years in those conditions and we never had a problem. i think you just have to clean and waterproof regularly and not store them when wet, otherwise they get mildewy.

Mine are sunbrella (cockpit more like canvas) and aqualon (full more like vinyl). What ever material you go with I would highly encourage you to pay the little bit extra to have skirts extend down from where most covers stop at the rubrail. Mine goes down to right above where the sides stop at the first chine. It is a little harder to man handle to get on and takes a few more straps to secure but it is well worth it keeping the sun off the sides. I addition I never get any dust inside or anything. Pull the cover and the boat is as clean as ever. Once again it is worth the extra $$$$.

I have always used Sunbrella with good results. I have had quite a few full travel/storage covers on different boats over the years and they have all been Sunbrella. It looks good and holds up really well. We are just starting one of these full covers for our current Cigarette and it too will be Sunbrella.
