A friend of mine did it on his 2002 F-350 Dually and was not impressed.

I have been running the ATS systems for over 2 years in the PSDs and believe it is the best available. Power increase is amazing and EGTs are the same when propane in injected(25-30%). We are a distributor for them. The # for ATS is 800-688-8726

Cool

neverfastenuf. What are you towing that you need the extra power ? I am towing aroung 10,000 lbs with an F350 crew cab dually 4x4 with 4:10 gears and no problem. How many miles do you have on the engine with the conversion ? I have read about this in a couple of RV magazines but always questioned the long term reliability of an engine equipped with the modification. If you do the math, the pressure generated from the addition of propane exceeds the load carrying capacity of the main bearings. I am not suggesting it doesn't work or that it is not durable. I am just curious.

I run an Excursion and a Super Duty. The rig I use most is the Super Duty. I run the ATS 3 stage chip and propane. I pull a 300 Eliminator Eagle, a 32 camp trailer, a 20' enclosed motorcycle trailer and a 30' Featherlight enclosed snowmobile trailer. I run 37" Goodyears and that is what "dampens" the ole strokers a little. The snowmobile trailer, loaded to the gills(6 sleds and gear) is what gets a little tough. The 7-8% grades in this country can keep a good truck grunting, and I hate the right lane (LANE OF SHAME). I only have 4500 miles on the Excursion but around 50000 on the Super Duty, most of them with trailers hooked to it. It has been trouble free except for a convertor(aftermarket extreme duty convertor) that gave up the ghost around 5000 miles ago. The propane actually helps run lower EGTs in some instances. When on a hard pull the propane really helps and gets you "over" the top.
