What is the going per mile rate? I know the price of diesel is extremely high.

bgchuby01 04-10-2008 10:06 PM

On a V-Bottom $2.25 per mile plus a 10% fuel surcharge, cats depending on their beam can be anywhere from 2.50 to 3.25 per mile plus fuel and permits

WMF 04-10-2008 10:23 PM

Dam Jeff you went up in in price :D it was not because of the low price of Desiel was it?????, goood luck to you Jeff, and if I ever need a boat hauled I'll call you.

bgchuby01 04-10-2008 11:05 PM

until two months ago I have been at 2.00 per mile with no fuel surcharge. I just can't hold it anymore. ALso I just raised my cargo insurance up another $250,000 to a new limit of $750,000. The price of boats keeps going up. Pretty soon the 750 will only cover a boston whaler. thanks again, keep those jet ski's running

Chub: Set the record straight. Your on here drumming up business, while I assume you are out on bail for the theft of Card Shark a 43 Nortech? Did a Cig not come up missing while in your capable hands? I personally would not have you haul tin to the scrap yard. I dont use this site for business, I use it for fun. But as a multi-business owner, you should do OSO a favor and stop trying to do business here till you clear your name. Chad Myers

Agreed 100%

Except the cleared up part. He's admitted to taking someones boat illegaly from a locked compound for money.
The Duped scenario just makes it worse.

Hey guys-what happened to inocent till proved guilty.I have faith in jeffs word and if he said he was duped -he was duped.Give the police a chance to finish their investigation and him the benefit of the doubt and a chance to make a living.
He has a wife and kids to take care of.:hothead:

You just have to love these holyier than thou people, must be nice to never have things go wrong in your life.
If it turns out that he is guilty of a crime i am sure someone will have it posted here in less than 10 minutes and be yelling i told you so, but until then i will be using Jeff to haul my boats when needed.

When i was in the hospital he picked my boat and trailer from florida and made sure it was ready for travel (Since i had planned on using it more in florida i didn't have anything stored) . He kept me updated on the progress and it showed up when it was suppose to.

With my new boat he is taking care of all permits (wide load) and i do not have any worries about it making it out here.

I am sure i can find someone cheaper but i would rather use some one that i trust and i have no reason not to trust him.

Dan

I believe 100% in innocent until proven guilty.

He's admitted to taking the boat;duped or otherwise he stole the boat, didn't speak up while you all looked for it and then on top of all that is trying to spin the REPO story.

I thought you guys were on strike over diesel prices?:evilb::D

In all seriousness, what does the cargo insurance cover? I would have thought a lot of the boats you were hauling would have already had values well over $250K.

I have had 500,000 for the last 5 years. 4 months ago knowing that my policy was coming due I asked the agent to see the price difference if I upped it to 750,000 cause the boats are not getting any cheaper. After talking to some of my commercial accounts I decided to go to the higher amount.

Michael1 04-12-2008 12:45 AM

H2O and Bgchuby, thanks! Got it now.
