Stryker...it's a good thing your wife pays us to talk to you otherwise, no one would. Hey, how's the house going?

gaboatnut 02-28-2002 10:14 AM

 SPEEDOS?!?!?!? I thought this was a family group! And just who the hell ordered this weather?!?! Had to pull the drain plugs on the motor the other night! I thought Spring was on the way

SeaDated 02-28-2002 10:56 AM

I winterized my engines but I still put two 100 watt lights in the bilge to keep my baby warm. Burrrrrrr. :( I hate cold weather.

Stryker 02-28-2002 11:11 AM

Gig- The house is almost complete and should close next week. Fingers crossed. It's hard to believe we may live there one day.
Lookin for movin volunteers.....hint hint. But you can't wear the speedos. :D

I guess with the new house I'll have to go on credit for now....or
maybe an IOU, so i can still have the honor to speak with you all.
:p

GaBoat Nut- It's family oriented, but with a twist. ;)

SeaDated 02-28-2002 11:18 AM

Stryker...what weekend are you moving? Becky and the kids are going to NY for grammas 100th bday so I may be FREE. Remember...I'll only help if your wife pays me to be your friend! :p

speedbump 02-28-2002 12:03 PM

Stryker - 3/9 & 3/10 are out but I'm sure I can volunteer Chris to help another weekend if you need it. A boy! Hey - do I have stuff for you!
Problem is you have to play with "it" from day one.....then you're "stuck" playing with it when they grow up!!!

Stryker 02-28-2002 04:13 PM

Speedy- What is "it". Define please.....I know...I know I'm a little sloooooow.

Dreamweaver 02-28-2002 08:10 PM

Hey Stryker! I think Speedy's talking about baby stuff - but I could be wrong!!!!!!!!! :D :p

I'm gonna try and get some different pics up on our web site - plus I hope to hear from OSO soon about helping us out with a forum! YAYAYAYAY!

Hey SeaDated! How do you get that cool Fountain logo below your name? I can't figure it out - forum-illiterate I guess!!!

speedbump 03-01-2002 05:05 AM

Geez! Ya'll are a bit slow.....you know, you're having a boy....boy's have Mr. Happy...you have to play with a baby boy's Mr. Happy all the time (circumcision, cover while changing, clean certain parts, etc.)....then when they grow up and become a man you still play with it and they stick it.....Have I explained it enough?
 ;) :D

Keep us posted on the move date!!!

SeaDated 03-01-2002 06:59 AM

DW
I went into my options (got there using FAQ'S on left side bar) and then clicked on Avatar info and followed the constructions. Good luck :)

Stryker 03-01-2002 08:54 AM

I hope to move next weekend the 9-10 if we close next week. I need out of that apartment before I loose my mind. We should have plenty of help and thanks for the offers though. Now if you all have nothing better to do now give me a call.;) Moving sucks:mad:

SeaDated 03-01-2002 09:00 AM

Stryker
Let me know if you need help...I'll be home alone that weekend.

Stryker 03-01-2002 09:11 AM

Move to the new SHACK,,Love that is...

Gig- I may take you up on that, but we can't talk. That way it won't cost me anything....conversation charges or the big one( be my friend charge).:D I call soon. Later and thanks for being my friend even though my wife pay's for it.

SeaDated 03-01-2002 09:13 AM

I just have one thing to say....She pays well!!!:D

Dreamweaver 03-01-2002 05:53 PM

Hey anyone doing the lake this weekend?!?! :D :D :p :p

gaboatnut 03-02-2002 12:25 AM

doubtful this weekend. weather guy is saying RAIN! TONS OF IT! But thats a good thing for you Altoona guys! Found out my ujoints need replaced..bummer. but just as well with the weather like it is. Next weekend a few of us are getting together either on Oconee or Lanier...weather promises to me great!!!

RumRunner 03-02-2002 01:29 PM

There are only two good things about the rain, 1) it's starting to put some water back into the lake, and 2) I don't mind working on the boat while it's raining since I wouldn't boat out anyway !

Dreamweaver 03-03-2002 02:32 PM

I'll second that one, RumRunner!!!!!!!!!!!

Won't be long now...!

:D

WES311SR1 03-03-2002 02:57 PM

GOOD LOOKING SITE, HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS THIS SUMMER......IF WE HAVE WATER IN THE LAKE !!!

Dreamweaver 03-04-2002 11:18 AM

Howdy WES311SR1! I think with the recent rains, Allatoona will definitely be up this Spring! See you on the water!!!!

SeaDated 03-04-2002 12:36 PM

DW...when are you taking the test ride. Also, do you have pics of possible new toy that you can send this way?

Dreamweaver 03-05-2002 07:06 AM

Hey SeaDated - test ride scheduled for this Wednesday at lunch... We're taking the camera with us, so I'll send some to ya!

SeaDated 03-05-2002 07:09 AM

OK. Good luck!

kaamacat 03-05-2002 07:25 AM

Dreamweaver.......you've got my curiosity up..........So, watcha testing this week?

Bob

SeaDated 03-05-2002 09:04 AM

Kaamacat

I hear they are going to test drive a Warlock...25 I think. It's white and red and up on Lanier somewhere.

Gig

speedbump 03-06-2002 05:19 AM

Then there was the Formula......Can't wait to see what ya'll take to Florida!!!:p

kaamacat 03-06-2002 07:35 AM

SeaDated, cool. I should sneak out during lunch and take some "spy pics". I think that lake is at least up high enough to be somewhat safe today.

Also. Have you been up to the new Fountain dealer on rt369 yet to see the new toys up there?

Bob

SeaDated 03-06-2002 10:44 AM

Kaamacat

Yep, I was up there about two weeks ago. I love the 38 with 575's. He really wants to move that boat but it wont fit in my boat building. Also, I think my wife would kill me. That dealership will be nice once it's fully opened. Jim Barton, the owner, seems real nice. Man...that dudes got some JACK!!!!

Good luck with the spy photos...I don't know what area of the lake they'll be on. How full is Lanier??

kaamacat 03-06-2002 10:59 AM

Seadated........Yea, they are all real nice folks. Typically I stop in to chat when I "visit" my boat up in storage each weekend.
Actually, Jimmy is looking for any input in the parts area, for stuff to stock on a regular basis. (fyi, there is a real nice used 35' in the showroom also).........like those nice yellow cars? Also, Bob their master mechanic, is very very good......Next time you're up there ask to go out back and check out Fountain record holder.

SeaDated 03-06-2002 11:10 AM

Kaamacat

I was out back. I saw lots of boats including the fountain race boat. Nice toys. Which boat was yours?

kaamacat 03-06-2002 11:14 AM

SeaDated.....partB of the answer...........Lanier is on its way up, and probably is ok to run in. There are still many ramps closed though, and I plan on just waiting a bit, as I dont want to take any chance on the props. The only other thing thats bad, is you really have no great way to get into the boat once its launched
because its still way to low for the docks at the parks.

Fyi..........if you get a chance to come over to Lanier, the MaryAlice park ramps right near my house are nice. LARGE lot, 3 ramps. Only drawback is boat traffic at times (idiots really) causing waves when you are trying to get it on/off the trailer.

Bob

SeaDated 03-06-2002 11:36 AM

Kaamacat

I run Lanier a good bit but haven't uses MaryAlice ramp. I launch at Baldridge Marina or Bethal park. Last season, due to low water, I only ran Lanier twice. Allatoona is a little to small but close by. We 're hoping to be up your way much more this summer. I'll keep you posted when we come to Lanier.
By the way, this board will soon have a forum for the Atlanta Power Boat Club. We can post there to see what the locals are up to. Should be cool.

kaamacat 03-06-2002 12:40 PM

SeaDated.....great....Would be nice to know when folks are at what lakes on the weekends. To hit Mary Alice just get off at X14 and make the 1st left after Steak&Shake and the bank. (runs behind the HomeDepot), might be SandersRd. Go straight, thru BufordDam rd, and at MaryAlice park rd make a right and take it to the end.

SeaDated 03-06-2002 02:01 PM

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Stryker 03-06-2002 02:21 PM

Gig-Give me a call when you can.

Dreamweaver 03-06-2002 05:49 PM

Hey dudes!

Haven't test drove the Warlock yet - should do it Thursday at lunch time!

Kaama - buzz on by if you like - I think we'll be near Holiday but I'm not sure because it's at the dealer owner's private dock.

I gotta follow up with OSO to see if they'll be able to get our forum up and running!

I'll keep everyone posted on the status of our TOWABLE boat... DreamWeaver is still my fav!

I'll post some pics for ya!

kaamacat 03-06-2002 06:31 PM

Dreamweaver.....thanks.......was just kidding...(but good luck though).......actually i'm not far from there at all. (just 2miles off x14 and rt400)

I will have to step outside and listen. Usually if someone is down near the dam area I can hear them pretty well....

Have fun............Spend............Spend............. Spend !!!!!!!!!!!

RumRunner 03-06-2002 07:24 PM

Dreamweaver:
What kind of power in the Warlock ?

Kaamacat:
Tell the guys over at fountain to keep some performance stuff, it would be nice to actually be able to stop and get something every once in a while, rather than have to order it. I don't know anybody around here that keeps Redline Drive oil, although Grimes might.

Seadated:
What's the statis on our page on here, or the deal on the Atlanta PowerBoat ?

Doug

kaamacat 03-06-2002 07:37 PM

Rumrunner........If you have a list I will pass it on. I know he was starting to get lots of carb stuff. Im gonna be thankfull now to get plugs, filters and such, on short notice. Its more like a "Wheres Waldo" thing when you have to find stuff around here.

I'll probably be there this Saturday, when I'm up at mine at the storage place up the road.

I will mention Redline though.
