500 efi fuel pumps and vapor locking
 

My 2000 500 efis only have a elc. fuel pump. and my 1999 500 efis have 2, a mech. on the water pump and a elc. in the cool fuel. I had one eng. vapor lock Sat. Now could this mean a tired fuel pump or someting else.

could be, let me know if you need another set up for it, I have 2 that I just took off mine. I went higher HP and had to upgrade.

I had a 2000 454 mag that would vapor lock in the spring time it was the float switch it the vst tank that is part of the cool fuel system they had to adjust it ever year

Well I think I found the prob. I went to flush that eng. out and it would not pick up water. I pulled the raw water pump out and it was trashed. I think if the cool fuel gets hot that could lead to vaper lock. but that eng. never ran more than 8-10 deg. more than the other.
