All fuel supply lines that are used in a boat must be coast guard approved USCG type A1, SAE J1527, as a part of that they are all gasoline and alcohol resistant and permiation proof. Am I missing something or do they just have it written on the hose and it still eats away at it?

Hey BIG Daddy We put some O rings, gaskets, and a piece of rubber/braided hose in a glass jar of 100% alcohol and it destroyed the stuff not in 1 day but it took a couple :cool-smiley-011: And i know it eats Aluminum or i'd have powder coated Meth tanks ... :cool-smiley-011:

Gas at our local marina claims to be 100% the real deal. They said marina fuel should all be ethanol free.

Wahoo i believe the cure for the moment is Durakene ,and with the leaky tank you will know fuel filters will clog hourly, gell will bubble and you'll be pumping the gas out that ran down the stringers with the bilge pumps ... And the gas smell will be very noticeable :cool-smiley-011:

And no smoking at the pit stop!

If you were paying attention, I agreed that it eats aluminum and even provided a link to a study that was done.

PLease put a marine approved A1 fuel line in the alcohol tank and report back to me. If it fails your test then call the coast guard Big Daddy! :D
