Take A Look.(pic intensive)

Just figured I'd toss some pics ups. I have been contemplating hiring some proffesional detailers to try and get these ugly scratches out. But instead I decided to just use some elbow grease and save $400-$500 and do it my self so...

I really have to thank these guys, they worked great.

Before: I had these down both sides of the boat.

wet sand again! It's really a lot more simple than what you think it might be... try it out!

Spray it with a vinegar water solution and rub.

That or Hot Sauce by Boat Bling works pretty well. http://www.boatbling.net/

What he said...You should do that everytime you wipe a boat down...will keep the scale off without F'in up the wax job.
As for that ScotchGard wax...WTF?
#50 Cleaner wax would have took those scuff off with ease....anyway, the whole boat looks even better now.

#50 didn't do Sh*t.I bought that and serveral other products and the only thing that worked was the 3M Super Duty Rubing Compound. The scotchgaurd wax is actually a really good product that just came out from 3M. If actually has Teflon in the wax so stains clean off easier than conventional wax...Try it out...;)

speedreeder 04-16-2008 02:18 PM

If you have local dollar stores, they have a product called LA AWESOME spray and rub it in with a magic eraser. Then treat it with a protectant like protectant 303.

rtaylor 04-16-2008 05:38 PM

Can someone run me through the wetsand and compounding processes? Excuse my ignorance, but how do you do them?

kennyo 04-17-2008 07:59 AM

I have posted this time and again...... AQUA BUFF 2000. $40-50 bucks a gallon. 3M has nothing to compare to it! I gave some to a guy yesterday and he called last nite kissing my ASS. He had spent a fortune on 3M stuff and was working his ass off.

I guess I'll keep this secret to my self.
