2002 33'V with 500's $139,900 That 28 cat with custom engine is $124,900. Hope this helps . I know nothing else about them . |
I believe there is a test of a 28 Profile cat in this months Hot Boat Magazine, if not it was in Powerboat, it was Red+White, didn't look to bad for a boat with the engine in the wrong place:D :D :D
Don't know if they are available with outboards. Caleb |
The test is in both Powerboat and Hot Boat this month. The dealer in our town has the Profile cat that was in Hot Boats swimsuit issue last year. It seems to be a very nice boat. The canopies look like an afterthought to me. With the HP500 I believe it runs about 80+. The boat is a 2002 and is for sale in the OSO for sale section for $65,000. 2002 Profile on OSO
My new neighbor has an older one with twin Mercury 2.5's. I haven't yet found out how it runs.:) |
Pirate 28
Sharkey,
I guess that you saw the question on Boat Design's forum. There was a cat named Pirate 28 for sale here in Sweden with a diesel  It looked the same on the pictures. I think that the asked price was around $40 k. I think that it is still for sale. That would be a good price a assume, given that everything else is OK. Thomas |
Sharkey,
before you seriously consider a Profile boat, Instant Message 'sterndrivespec'. He used to be a member here and still is but has little time to read and post messages. He's on AOL IM alot and he used to work on Profile boats. He told me a lot about them when a dealer from Oshkosh was trying to sell me one. Definately talk to him first. - jeff |
I inquired about this boat years ago and it was originally designed for O/B's and not I/O. The I/O's came later as an afterthought. They had to cut a hole in the center to drop the motor down and had to make it a center pod. The hatch looks very afterthought.
|
Yes Thomas, you're correct. I had someone email me about that, looking for info. What better place to find out....OSO!!! Thanks for everyones help!!! I'm not looking to buy it, just trying to help[ someone out....;)

Nice Looking Cat, Maby one of these days I will own one. The price sounds reasonable, but if the quality isn't their, it's not worth it.

They are in Hot Boat this month.
