Communication Systems??? What works
Questions??? Communication Systems? ( post 1 of 14)
What kind of communication systems does everyone have or have used in the past??? Please fill me in, we installed a Pirate Com system on the Cig and works well for the 2400.00 cost. Sissy is looking for a system with inputs for radio, vhf, and cell phone

I put a David Clark intercom system in the last Apache. It had inputs for stereo, VHF, Cell phone. Captain could be on the VHF while passengers enjoyed the stereo. I set up the helm and throttle positions to be voice activated. All the others were push to talk. I liked the system and would recommend it.

Gotta vote for the wireless RCI system....it works great, rechargable or 2 AA batteries and no cords to trip over. Can use with VHF and can use for loading the boat on the trailer or backing the truck to the trailer. And best of all you can take'em to the next boat. 4 headsets with the VHF setup costs about the same as the Piratecom. Voice activated or push to talk and features adjustable surround (background noise) so you can hear as much of the motors as you want.
