Interesting Things Pulled From The Bottom???

They just pulled a car out of the river near me that they found training divers. They said it has probably been there for years. I was just wondering what interesting things people have found underwater or seen pulled off the bottom? Cars, boats, bodies, etc.?

2 winters ago, we fished a car out of our river thta had drifted down near the boat ramps. It had been reported stolen about 2 years earlier.

How about a STRETCHED HUMMER LIMO. Pulled out of Lake Texoma just last January.

Somebody stole it and drove it down the boat ramp.

As as kid I found a fully operational UZI sub machine gun in a canal a few friends and I were snorkling in. I would probably still have it today if not for one of the friends had a big mouth and a mom who worked for the sherrifs dept. Turned out that the gun was used in a crime and dumped

we were out on the island we hang at and a guy next to us pulled in his anchor. On the very point of his anchor was a gold wedding band. Would not have believed it if i wasnt there.

A couple years ago, after pulling up my anchor just outside of Eggmont Key, I pulled up an aluminum panel probably about 2 feet square or so. The panel was about 0.090 gage and it had two z-channel stringers fastened with 100-degree flush-head rivets running the length of the panel. The most interesting thing was what appeared to be a couple bullet holes in it. Based on the construction and color - lime green on one side and dark olive drab on the other side - it was clearly a piece of an aircraft. I wonder what story it could have told. The thing was nasty with some haevy barnacle growth, so I threw it back. When I got home I realized how dumb that was. I should have kept it. :(

Friend in the marine construction business was putting a new boat ramp in Cleveland found a car with a chinese man still in it. Still had his wallet and everything. Spooky. Made the local news. Guy was in there for 15-16 years.

A prostethic leg floated on shore at Ft. Desoto in St. Pete, FL. No it was not my leg but it made the news!

I found my own anchor( expensive) a year after I lost it. My buddy pulled it up (150' of water) and I said "that's mine!" He said "bull****" But it had my name on it!

One extreme low tide , I looked under the dock behind my boat and there was a complete lower unit there stuck in the mud! Must have been there for years , pulled it up and was junk!!

As a kid , we used to drag the river with a grappeling hook off the back of my 13 whaler for kicks. Found some good antique bottles and a couple anchors. Actually made extra cash finding mooring anchors when their chains would break.

I was cruising up Lake George a couple of years ago and almost hit a piece of metal sticking out of the water. I turned around to see what it was, when I got up close to it I relized it was the tip of the mast of a 30' sailboat. The water is crystal clear in LG and I could see the boat directly below me.
