Hey Sean,

First time out, 75 MPH with full fuel and 6 people. I am ok with that. It's a boat intended for long range cruising ( 400 + mile range) but can still do the poker run scene. We were never first to get there anyway. ( unless I take one of my shortcuts - LOL ):D

Just a hint on what's happening. Trading "old" for new 38' something to be built. Don't want two - 50's to look after but a 50' diesel and a 38' gasser to rip around in makes sense ......I think?:D

Do I smell something of the "FELINE PERSUASION" in the future Bob?

MegaByte*3 04-21-2008 10:33 AM

Bob:

Thanks again for a great day on the water. There are only a few people as generous and handsome as you, my friend.

Donna has over 1200 pic's of the new Predator running. You should be the one to post them from that disk with the 90 she thought came out the best.

Best wishes for many hours / years of fun, safe boating in the oil burner.

Thanks. On my wish list yet is to boat down your west coast. I will be in touch with you left coasters about that. Next summer I want to run from San Fran down to LA and then do a poker run with you guys. This summer is fully committed. Something to look forward to for sure.:D

No Cat in the future Sean. As much as I would love to run one I've long said I would just end up killing myself. Not much point in that. :D

Thanks Tom.
I have been way too busy to post pics and if you or Donna have time please feel free to do so. Really appreciate you guys coming along and putting so much work into it. I am fortunate to have so many great friends like you and others here in FL.
I'm now out of time and need to get out on the water and do more testing. Catch up with you all later and again, thank you.:D

Ms PatriYacht 04-21-2008 12:10 PM

Bob congratulations, the boat is a beauty, you made the right choice in colors. Can't wait to see it this summer.

Kudos to Nor Tech, if I am not mistaken that boat must have been built in about 10 months or less, pretty remarkable.

THUNDER-STRUCK 04-21-2008 12:16 PM

Bob congratulations again on your new boat she is so very beautiful. I loved the look on Raymond's face when you used the bow thruster to get us out of the dock at the lunch stop.

And thanks again for such a great weekend. I won't forget the day Bobthebuilder ran a 100ft of Nor-Techs in a poker run lol.

Thanks, Donna. Yes, Nor Tech painted the boat. Graphic design was done by Harold at Grafik Works in Ft. Lauderdale. The amazing thing is, even tho I was prepared to drive over to FLL and sit down with Herold we did it all by phone and e mail. He was done in just a few days. Thank you Paul @ Nor Tech and Harold @ Grafik Worx. Well done.:D

Hey Dennis, nice to hear from you. Things are moving slowly with the incorporation of FMO but we are definitely moving forward. I got busy, the accountants were busy with tax time but that is behind us now. Look forward to your running with us.:D

The running shots of the 2 boats together will not get posted until I get back up north and into the PRA office to select. They also shot almost 9 minutes of video from the helicopter so will be buying that as well and will eventually post. Donna C. has pics of new P.... running and should be available tomorrow. :D

Bob

Thats one of them there defective Gages:D

My buddy bought a 26 concept with an Optimax, and when the gage didnt move off full after 2 trips, he called luis and told him he was bringing the boat in since the gage was broken, luis told him its fine, take a few more trips, and it should move, it did:D My old Eggbeater loves the fuel, but now that i got it to spin up past 5000, its all worth it:D

Congrats Bob.

So Bob, what material did you end up with in the cabin. I'm guessing that ostrich skin doesn't come in blue?

No blue in the cabin. Have enough blue going on outside. Interior is completely different. It's a little more ..... seductive ?? LOL Jay took some pics after we got back in last night. I expect he will post when he gets some time.:D

Your pics are always fantastic.

Any pics of Bob's guests on the run?

JB4Boyne 04-23-2008 12:15 AM

Awesome Bob, just awesome. I love the running shots, it gives us a chance to see the bow thrusters.
I can't wait to see that thing at Boyne Thunder, should be a great year to see some hot new boats.
How was the cruise speed compared to the old 50?

Perlmudder 04-23-2008 01:14 AM
