Thumbs up Powerboater or just another guy???

Hello. My name is Chuck and I am an addict. I have been addicted to fast boats for quite some time now!!!

I always wonder if someone I meet on the street is a fellow powerboater like myself.

Case in point.....I went to a title company to close on my house about a month ago and about 30 minutes into the closing the subject of my boat came up. To my surprise the title guy says he has a powerboat as well. Turns out this guy has Fountain and has been into powerboating his whole life. I would have never guessed this guy to be a HP boating brother.

So now it dawns on me....How many people have I met share the same interest in boats like myself. I keep trying to come up with some kind of universal sign to let people know we are HP boat brothers.

Short of throwing up a "Gang" sign I think it would be cool to come up with a way to recognize our brotherhood on the streets and the water when not on our boats. I know there are a few brothers here in south La. but if I saw them outside of our local runs and whatnot I would never know they were into the same stuff as me.

This may sound silly to some but to people like myself I am always ready to shoot the sh!t with a fellow powerboater. There can never be enough "Boat Talk" around me.

Let's see what the collective community can come up with....

Godspeed gentlemen.

Chuck,
I love your boat. We're out in the trenches every weekend to find other powerboaters. As they surface, we turn them on to OSO. There's no rest for the weary, so we'll keep searching!

Thanks Tom. My boat is from Ft. Myers. Bought it from Mani Sorret, unfortunately, after he passed away. We love it so far.

I see people on the street all the time pulling nice rigs and I want to let them know I am in the powerboat loop as well but I also don't want to seem like some gawking idiot. Oh well I guess I will just have to rely on local runs and OSO.

I was in Fort Myers a couple weeks ago for my bro in laws wedding at Lovers Key. I wish I would have put up a thread.
There was a badazz canopied vee hull getting dialed in right off the beach where we were staying. I was wishing for a ride so bad!!!

Next time we get down that way I will look you up.

Take care bro.

Chuck
