Relocating to Jacksonville FL

I will be relocating to Jacksonville, Fl and would appreciate any suggestions on areas to live, boat, and marinas that have dry storage.

I am looking forward to boating in Florida. Although I have been boating for over 35 years I know there will be a learning curve from the Tennessee and Missssippi Rivers. Right now I am thinking I need a bigger boat. Go figure.

I never lived on Jax, but I have worked there. The Julienne Creek area looked like a very nice place for the boating minded to live. Good luck on your move, and of course you need a bigger boat, don't we all?:D

I have lots of family in the Jaks @ Ponta Vedra area, Not boaters though. If things work out for me I want to take my boat down there over X-mas @ leave it untill Miami boat show. You will be a local Xpert by then so maybe you will show me the ropes!!!!!!!

BajaSport,

I live in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. Currently store my Baja Islander at Julington Creek Marina. If you choose to live in the Southside of Jacksonville you will definitely want to store your boat in a Marina. Boat ramps are almost non-existent. If you live on the Northside closer to the ocean there are a number of ramps with lots of parking. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if I can help you with any questions.

COME ON DOWN!!!!

You'll like it here.
The weather will be different, almost no snow and you'll still have a change of seasons.
Central Fla has only three seasons. Summer from April to October, Fall from November to January and Spring from February thru March.
What about winter?
That lasts for about two weeks in January.
Gotta love it.
