On my 575's - I use salt away from the mixer. Spray on motors (away f/ dist & Air cleaner) use soft /small brush & sponge and wipe down. Then good rinse. Then I use an electric leaf blower to dry. Use chamois to get anything I missed. I'll keep hatch up for an hour or two so the bilge drys out.
Works well!

I have been using it for years, never had a problem with it. Dave

That's one of the best secrets to keeping your engine compartment clean. All the crap that grows in moist environments are dirt magnets. You can't see alot of this stuff but it grows in thin films all over everything, then it attracts dirt.

I usually do a 3:1 mix of water & bleach a few times a season, then a rinse right after.Keeps that funky smell down too.

Nice bilge Dave, how do you like those hatch openers? are they Dana?

Wardey 04-25-2008 08:33 AM

Thanks. Yes they are Dana's and I love them. A little pricy but I would use them again and well worth it. Dave
