my lovley lady muffs
 

Hey guys.. can someone give me some instructions on how to safely use the muffs on my inboard..
I don't want to cook anything..
Do I leave it going up to normal operating temperature.

Than:cool-smiley-011:ks.

1.Attach muffs
2.Start engine
3.Verify water is coming out exhaust


Do not run engine at high rpms. Mostly idle with maybe a rev or two.

Do you have bravo outdrive? or are you a true inboard boat??

If it is a true inboard (like a ski boat) the "muffs" look like a plunger with a hose attachment. Put the base around the water pickup, turn on the hose and watch for water out the exhaust. A little tip, dont run the boat in gear out of the water. Saw it done once and roasted a strut bearing.

The dude needs to wrap the muffs around the intakes on his Cobra800 outdrive, turn on the water and start her up. The impellor on his boat is on the backside of the drive, accessable through the plastic cover.

You might want to squeez "turn on the water" somewhere in there. :D

When he came back as yolo, I have tried to help him with his boat, because his questions were.... scary.
I had the same Cobra drive. I was trying to help him out, but I am not getting anywhere.

That was probably just relief that it started. I know the feeling.

Tip: Go learn about cobra shift assist modules and what they do. When yours breaks (they all do) you will need to know or you will chew up the dogs in the drive. Buy spare for 100.00 and keep it on the boat. It can be changed at sea.

I have said nothing nor done anything to anyone..I was a bit of a pric like 8 months ago to someone whop also was a pric.. it was settled and I came back under a new name.. I have not done or said anything..

You shouldn't be bench pressing and typing at the same time, or surfing OSO and bench pressing at the same time, it may raise your blood pressure and heart rate to unsafe levels.

I was merely commenting on the NAME of your thread. I think your question was perfectly legitimate. "Lovely Lady Muffs"???? That's all I was talking about. Just trying to give you a little advice about dealing with the OSO crowd as a whole. Sorry if that homo (Stecz) confused the issue.

I actually had no idea you had been on OSO before or that you had asked anything before. I'm not in that stuff. I hope you get your questions answered and enjoy boating.
