Battery Group Size 24 / 27 ?????
 

I currently have a set of 4yo Group 24 Interstate Batteries in my 33' Scarab. I'm not not much of a radio user but it is the "house" side that is going out. The mounts/holders in the boat will handle either 24/27 size.

I have read many of the posts and understand that the $200+(?) Optima Blue Tops are the best. But I want to stick with standard batts.

Question is. For the extra $10 (24(24M-XHD ) - 27 (27M-XHD )) size is there ANY reason NOT to put in 29's rather than replace the 24 with similar 24 size.
