Need ideas on best material to use on boat lift guides to prevent scratching the sides of the boat's paint. I removed the carpeting that came on the guides and wrapped them in polar fleece which still seemed to scratch the clear coat. Any ideas much appreciated!

Vasoline or KY.

That boat wont be on that lift for one night before I take it around the Chain for a mad dash!
