If you guys didn't know, Linens and Things stores are closing.
I stopped by the local store yesterday and bought 226 sq. ft. of wood plank/steel frame back room shelving for $96 bucks. That was 3 adjoining sections of 10 foot high shelves with 11 shelves on each section. These aren't designed to be freestanding, but work great tied into a wall.
I also bought a heavy duty roll-around cart and a huge A-frame platform access ladder that will be great for getting in and out of the boat when its in the Toy Box.
Get there quickly, and take it with you when you leave. There will be pillaging when the final days come. You can't take the ladders with you until after they close, but they are reserved with your name on them.

Thanks for the heads up, stopped by tonight after work and picked up a bunch of shelving. They aren't very organized at the local store here, I asked about the ladders and the guy that's handling the sales told me that they had already sold more ladders than they have. The shelving is pretty reasonable, but I would agree if it's any thing like the store here, pick it up when you pay for it or some one else might end up with it.
