This is the e-mail repsonse I got back from Fl. Rep. Harrington;

Friends:
HB-1473 passed the Council on Ready Infrastructure yesterday 15-3. Next the House floor and Sen Posey will present the Senate bill on Feb. 26th at 9:00 am in Senate Natural Resources Committee. Please email in support.

I just blasted off a carpet E-mail to ALL Fl. State Senators asking them to vote yes and Help Manatees and boaters alike.
We are definitely gaining ground on the STM Club.:D

How can the Manatee lose, when all this legislation does is MAKE the FFWCC take input from the Local Manatee Protection committees?:confused:
We, locals, know more about the Manatees in our area than the STM Club, who are based in Maitland Fl. That's about a far away as you can get from Manatee habitat. The local STM club rep doesn't even come to the local meetings anymore because they don't want to hear anything/anybody who questions their tactics or data?

I don't see the STM on the other side of your fight...I see the manatee as the defendent..
All in all it is good to see the little guy make a difference..no matter what the cause..I hope that we all can watch the manatee numbers hold steady or grow in the future..If you do win your case then I hope you stay active in the issue to make sure the right things are done for the manatee..Your in it way deeper than me..
