Good luck, be careful, but if the water is perfect, set a new record.

Talking Links for the return trip.

Here are the links to the SPOT GPS track points (I created a few because the shares were overloaded on the way to Cancun and started kicking people off). If you have trouble with one try another.

Also, here is a link to the web cam in Key West where they will be finishing.

Key West Westin Sunset web cam (recommended by Bob). You may have to hit the browsers refresh button to get it started.

Thanks for posting those, David. We are all hoping they have a safe, smooth and quick journey tomorrow.
I spoke with Bob earlier today- he and Terry were flying out a bit later than they wanted due to no seats available on the earlier flight.
I suspect they are fueling and prepping the boat right about now for the return trip.
Best of luck, guys!

Sorry about the slow turnaround on the pix...
I'm still working through photos from the Jacksonville Run last weekend,
and I'm getting ready to head over to Hollywood in the am to shoot the SBI event.
A busy week to say the least...

I'll be posting over the course of the evening as I get more pix ready.
These first ones-
our high-tech reserve fuel system,
a shot from the observation deck of the Galleon,
and a close-up of what I had to deal with over the next eight hours.

Yep, we had our own videographer and even a hat model on board.
(Bob thinks of everything.)

We didn't get very far and some of the passengers started to get restless...
Terry and Kevin made some quick adjustments and we were on our way in no time.

I would like to know why you guys were carrying gasoline on a diesel powered boat?
I know you would never put diesel in a red colored gas container.

Not much to look at out on the open sea...
only a couple of big ones over the first half of the trip.
These two give an idea of the water conditions as well-
at this point we thought we would break the record by a couple of hours.

yeah, sure.

GPS screenshot as we crossed the Tropic of Cancer...
(like I said, not much to look at. )

then... a little bit further the mountains became visible along the Cuban coast. At our closest point we were 18 miles out.
