I was about the same way... I lived a big part of my life in Islamorada & other surrounding keys such as lower matacumbe , plantation , Tavenier, ect.. but don't think I ever went to key west untill I moved away & then came back down to visit. Most of the local didn't give a crap about going down there... However I must say I wouldn't mind being down there right now for a week orso !!

Yup been there. Took the bike from Marathon to KW a few years ago. Shorts and "T's only. Burnt to a krisp. Blended right in with the marker. I didn't relaize how far of the ride was. Wasn't really bad,, but on the sun, and wind on a bike.. Lobster time.

Yeh when we were at the house we'd just stay in KL or hit up Marathon or Islamarada, but never Key West lol, only once.

We stayed the night in Islamarada at Smugglers Cove the night before then did a photo shoot in the morning. Boating there felt like I was in another world.

Not real sure how many bars we hit. We walked in Irish Kevins and couldnt seem to get away from that place! Saw Pat Daily later on, then it gets pretty blurry after that!
