Welcome back.

I've always considered you one of the wisest people on here.

US1 Fountain 05-20-2008 05:18 PM

Still here, but cutting back.

fund razor 05-20-2008 05:29 PM

Leave it to mc to bring some of the great folks out of hiding.

Best of luck my friend. OSO is better just having you show up. It should get that Formula sold, because it is such a sweety.

Your boat is as bad ass as a 311 gets. If somebody doesn't snag that bad BOY they are missing out.

Welcome back to OSO. Sunkin is smart.... but we lacked a genius. :D

DanB 05-20-2008 05:32 PM

Ive Gone thru 4 houses, 3 states, 2 boats, a wife and a dog, but OSO is still here. Who'd a thunk it?

Ryan Beckley 05-20-2008 05:36 PM

Still here, too much.....alot of names I haven't seen in a long time popping up here.......

bouyhunter 05-20-2008 05:44 PM

Still here from the "early" days.
Actually was just a registered lurker for two or more years before I started getting "involved" in the place. In the early days, I was somewhat intimidated to even state my opinion - I was overwhelmed at the wealth of knowledge I was sponging up.
I didn't start getting involved around here until I was going through my divorce, and my boat went away shortly after for the same financial reasons.
I finally have another boat that should be ready for it's first run with me at the helm in a few months.
The divorce thing can be pretty eye-opening.
But, it has also turned out to be the best thing that has happened in my adult life, maybe not financially, but the best thing for me on a personal level.
Everything happens for a reason - and I've become a stronger man from having these experiences.

And, as a matter of fact, I do need some fab work done.
Seat bases for the boat I'm putting back together - not sure if that is something up your alley, but PM me a # and we can discuss it if you're interested.
Glad to see one of the highly respected "old-timers" showing back up here.

Fund - suck it up and buy the boat.
You know you want it so bad you can't see straight:D

Still here (little different name on this board). You had some good posts back in the day on tech.

Playn 05-20-2008 07:19 PM

MC, glad to see you pop in again. I was wondering the other day how thing were going for you. Good to see your post.

blue thunder 05-20-2008 07:21 PM

I'm still here after all these years. Really miss your insights in the tech section McC. That's interesting you talk about getting away from materialistic things. Read a book called "your money or your life" you might enjoy it. I did.

My dealings with STECZ

I do not insure STECZ for 2 reasons, the first being that he doesn't have a boat and secondly I don't insure mopeds.

Shorgasm 05-20-2008 07:28 PM

I'm still here.

Not that it matters but I do have new stories. Not sure if the new board gods would approve. The last one got "poofed".

LOL. The boat is only a little faster than the last one and not fast enough. Everybody I sell a boat to makes it 15mph faster within a year.

The hair loss is no big deal. Its the sunburn that sucks:drink:

Welcome back!!!!!!

I'll take a look at the seat bases. Heck, I'll take a look at macrame-ing you a duvet cover, or souping up your vacuum cleaner. Send pictures, sketches, CAD files, images, and descriptions.

Since I'm coasting on a "free" membership, I don't have PM privileges. Can't send them. Can't read them. I dunno if the board censors email addresses, but I'll see if it will display it -

and SY, I have a moped you won't insure also. It ran 34 when new. It now runs over 70 with my fat butt on it and gets 100mpg if you keep the front wheel on the ground. It's my contribution to help solve the petroleum dependency of this country. I recommend everybody to get one of these.

I sent you an E-mail.
Give me a call sometime this week, or reply with a contact #.
I already had a local guy bone me on a price for some really simple work here locally - I'd much rather work with someone else.
The macrame thing really isn't our style, but the vacuum cleaner could use some help - the two dogs have a way with destroying the house:D

Still Here...Good to see you back MC!

Not a big poster, but a lurker. I am living vicariously through the many OSO folks who have bigger and better boats than my little 1987 F223LS...

In 2004, I also went through a D...however, mine was for a different reason...my ex now plays for the 'other' team (or the same team, depending on how you look at it.) I know what you are saying about reconnecting with who you are, and seeing life in a different light. I am truly happier now than I have ever been.

Great to see you back on OSO. Being an engineer myself, I really liked your technical insight on many topics.

Yeah, I remember him well. That was way back, 1999 or so. He was always gonna kick everyones ass, spouting off etc and shortly after they revamped the board.

Where did Crazy Horse go? He was a great guy, as honest as they come.
