Silver Glen Memorial Weekend.....
Anyone gonna be out there?
Our little pack of hooligans will certainly be there Fri-Mon.:evilb: |
I'll be there in a new 30ft Liberator cat I'm finishing this week. Be there Sunday, parked outside.

We'll take the dingys out of the Glen but will be parked inside.
|
Shor,
We might make it to the SJR around SR 44 and do some tubing with the kids in the Seadoo down by hontoons. It depends if I have to work this weekend. Dean |
I haven't decided if I want to fight the crowd yet. Though if I am there I will most likely be on the outside.
|
With no real rain in the area yet, I'm sure it's real shallow on that approach. Watch out if you draft more than 28". I've hit bottom coming off of a plane before and trying to get back onto one coming out of there during this time of year. Had to go another 100yds past the No Wake sign before it was safe.
|
Especially low if the wind is blowing away from there.....
|
The water is LOW!
The no wake sign...its about 2-3 feet deep the other day when I was out there, I anchored outside the entrance and saw a couple of deep vee's come back out with plugged inlets in the drives--I helped one guy out in a Formula. I wish it would rain--because I need 36" with the drives down in my Scarab. P.S. I ws sucking up sand as well.......not fun |
I have a 26' Crownline cruiser and I have been in there with less water but you do have to know the route.I pull the drive right up to where it needs the trailer button and idle on in to the entrance. After that it gets deeper the whole way.
I am a bit concerned about the wind. The lake is going to be rough if this keeps up for Friday morning. |
Hey Shore, got a few new things I will send Christine over the weekend.
Be safe. |
