Wich one would you pick?
Have a question, looking at a few boats, Fountain 35, Donzi 35
Superboat 34, and Hustler 34. All well know boats except the Superboat . So my question do you go with the well named boat that people know, just because the market is so bad more people know the Donzi and Fountain's for resale. But on the other hand more Fountains and Donzis for sale then Hustlers and Superboats. 1.Superboat 2.Hustler 3.Donzi 4.Fountain |

I'd buy my Formula.
But given the batch you speak of, the boat, the condition, its history, the type of water it has been run in and whether it was flushed consistently, the maintenance habits of the owner, etc will matter more than just the brand. Also, depending on the year model, construction techniques and workmanship have varied on some of those brands. Also, your intended usage will help match you as an owner up to a boat. But I'd buy my Formula. mc |

Fountain no question
|
my opinion.....but then again i am partial to locally built boats....
1.Superboat 2.Hustler 3.Donzi 4.Fountain my list in preference order.... |
This is classic.
Everyone with a fountain claims you should get a Fountain. Guy with a Superboat thinks you should get that. As far as more fountains being for sale, that is probably simply because there are/were more produced. I'm going to say............... FOUNTAIN! |

superboat Fountain Hustler Donzi |
Hustler #1
Good in rough water, built very well, great paint, well into the 90s with 525s. |
ALL good boats.

boating37 ,,,,,,,,,,,, Dude, go drive the boats and figure it out .......... Don't let anybody tell you what to buy ...... The build quality is good on everything mentioned, features and handling are different .......... Just get the one you like and let us know, we would love to hear ...........

Hustler 34 is in my opinion not a good riding boat. the Donzi will be solid and the fountain not as good a ride due to length really smaller but still safer than the hustler.
|
Depends on what you are doing with the boat. I raced a 35 Fountain today in my 38 Fountain and we were both running 100 plus in a lot of chop (1-2s) in Charlotte at Lake Norman. The 35 is a great boat, it had 525s staggered. Matthew Smith has an old boat of mine, a 2004 35 with side by side 525s that is an awesome boat, ran 90. Beautiful yellow sides with checkerboard graphics. Donzi will probably ride better but will be slower.

Yes I goung to buy the one I like best, they all have diffrent features I like,so I guess it will be up to the best deal I can get
will be a big factor. But the fountain owner is a good friend on mine and I know the boat and that is a big plus. And he just wants me to take over pyments. But do like to here others input, thanks to all. |
Of the choices you posted, I'd go with the Fountain if you don't mind throttling with your left hand. IMO, a lefty throttle is very awkward... I'm a righty.
Other than that, I'd continue the search until I found the right boat for 'me' with 525's+, had it sea trialed and fully surveyed.
