My dad's buddy either sold a boat to somebody in Canada or bought a boat from somebody in Canada and the thing was seized at the border and impounded for months. I think they had all the right paperwork in hand, but obviously something must not have been right. Wish i knew more for ya...

When we bought the Newell from the factory in OK, it had been previously registered in Canada. They originally told us that we had to drive it back to Canada to clear customs to get a clear title. Fortunately we just had to take it to customs at the Tulsa airport so they could varify VIN numbers.

Hopefully it is that easy on one coming directly from Canada.

Buying a boat in Canada is as easy as buying it from any other state. If you or Brent need any help, call me. I ship boats to the US all the time.

I purchased an outdrive last week from B.C. Canada. I was watching the UPS Tracking, and it was in customs for 5 days!
