P-Class REQUIREMENTS FOR RACING

Wondering what the entry fee's and gear requirements are for racing in the P-class, who do I call!!

Go to APBA's web site and they have the rule book there. Race fees varie from race to race slightly but you can find out most of that info with a quick call to the organizer. Good luck.

OWTLAW PERF RULES

whats the rules if you have a 32 skater w/open cockpit <no canopys> how fast of a class can you run that boat in outlaw 1 or outlaw px i need to know this the boat runs over 110 w/no problem thanks.:D

Ryan Beckley 02-25-2002 02:42 PM

lets go racing

Mike what power does your buddies boat have? Been getting mine back together. I am supposed to letter the other 24 at Big John's soon too. If all goes right I will be there racing my 24 or something else. Merlin the boats in P1 aren't supposed to go over 110 without canopies.

merlin540 02-25-2002 03:12 PM

so what your saying is that p1 is the fastest you can run in a open cockpit boat right that all i want to know. thanks:D

mjuwalters 02-25-2002 03:22 PM

Merlin 540
Thats correct. APBA does not want you going 150mph in an opean copit boat.I think you still can run in p1 but you have to stay under 110mph.I belive p1 is the only class that can do this

merlin540 02-25-2002 03:27 PM

thanks:D

Hey MIKE!

Have fun racing! You will LOVE IT! There are more rules for the P class than stated. Some other things are as follows. Your rear hatch has to support I believe a 200 pound rescuer with all his equipment, bow rail, anchor, red flag, medical kit, flares, etc. Check the APBA board and you can read and or print out all the rules. Be VERY FAMILIAR with them BEFORE you race! Learning by being DQ'd SUCKS! Let me know if you have any questions or I can do anything.
