Congratulations Internet Brands. Another unhappy PAYING customer.

Roger 1 06-14-2008 09:20 AM

This is ridiculous! I guess this is one of the things that happens when you get too big too fast. You spread yourself out so thin that you're not worth a crap to anybody.

Congratulations to internet brands for running our site down the crapper!

never enuff 06-14-2008 11:07 AM

Hell the post office is faster than this!!!!! If you really believe that this huge corp cares what you say or think I encourage you to keep paying your yearly dues. I think they may have hired a new person to field the complaints. Her name is Helen Wait----if you have a complaint--go to hell 'n wait!!!!!!!:(

Gunrunner72 06-14-2008 11:26 AM

This is ridiculous! Won't be re-upping unless these issues are resolved.

OSO is a sinking ship, I'm afraid.

kjm5125 06-14-2008 11:40 AM

YES, it's getting ridiculous!!!!!!!!

oreo11zeus 06-14-2008 11:53 AM

What a shame

A fantastic site on a suck-ass server. I will not tolerate this much longer. Get your game on INTERNET BRANDS. We are speed freaks - duh

MacGyver 06-14-2008 12:12 PM

MacGyver 06-14-2008 12:16 PM

Soon as it got to the end of the page (Poof!) I was able to log on and go downstairs and get a cold one and come back and still had to wait! :cool-smiley-027:

BlackJack58 06-15-2008 08:18 AM

9am on sunday - HHHOOOORIBBLY SLOOOOW. Pages hard to load - photos taking forever. This is the worst I've ever seen it.

And it's not my PC. Every other site is fine....

Lmarth 06-15-2008 12:25 PM

!;20pm Sunday and am able to get on for the first time in hours. Painfully slow this morning as its been just about every day this last week. The new owners are going to lose a lot of paying members if this continues.

BUIZILLA 06-15-2008 12:33 PM

slowest website on the entire web...

MacGyver 06-15-2008 01:19 PM

During the OSO outage this morning, I went to IB home page and every other site they host worked just fine. There's absolutely no reason for this slow condition day after day after day. And the complete outage this morning is unbelievable.

If this was a bank website, the sysadmin would have been fired by now.

Not to mention the unhappy advertisers......

I went to another one of thier sites and it was slow too. But not gone like OSO was this morning.

IB's get your act together. OSO has NEVER been like this!!!!!

Chris Sunkin 06-15-2008 08:24 PM

It seems like at 4:30 Friday they said "F uck it, it's Friday" and hit the bricks.

The observation about this being some bank or any other professionally run COMMERCIAL website being down is spot-on.

Funny thing- IB just dumped their long-time CTO and hired some new guy. Visit their coprporate site and look at all the stock options grants this guy was given. He's really earning his keep- they can't even get a piece of canned software to run. God forbid they ever try to implement something on their own.

THEJOKER 06-15-2008 08:32 PM

I've tried to get on several times w/ no luck. Looks ok now. They've contacted me several times about my ad that doesn't appear but it's still not up. I'm not giving up but somethings up for sure.

stecz20 06-15-2008 09:01 PM

Stecz should have bought his site... ill show em how to run it...

hire me ib, ill show you how to make my people happy, cause this aint the way.....:evilb::evilb:

Jigsaw89 06-15-2008 09:17 PM

I've only been here since 2004 and gotta admit that I've never seen such poor connectivity. My computer(s) perform as they should and all the bad IB reviews are well deserved (thus far).

Hey IB… if you intend on keeping your paying members and paying advertisers, I suggest you get on the ball and fix your server problems.

lawdocx3 06-16-2008 08:10 AM

This is getting old......

Roger 1 06-16-2008 08:10 AM

This is just pathetic.

Magic Medicine 06-16-2008 08:18 AM

Clay Washington 06-16-2008 08:27 AM

I'll second that. Now I am double posting because it is so slow and not sure if it is actually working...:angry-smiley-038:

Dock Holiday 06-16-2008 09:21 AM

Glad it is not me.

Does anyone know what is being done to resolve this issue?

Today is the worst I have seen it so far.

Knot 4 Me 06-16-2008 09:21 AM

My renewal is up in a week. Makes it hard to shell out $40 when it performs like this...

fund razor 06-16-2008 09:28 AM

Everything seems to be in order on the revenue side. With over 69 sites, including "MySummerCamp.com" they must have some serious talent on the IT side.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., May 07, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Internet Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: INET) today reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008.

First Quarter Operating Results

Total revenues for the first quarter of 2008 were $24.9 million, an increase of 30.3% compared to $19.1 million in the prior year period. As of March 31, 2008, the Company had $76.9 million of cash and investments, and no debt.

glassdave 06-16-2008 10:41 AM

man i hope they get this corrected soon. Took me almost ten minutes and about 3 tries to access a PM just to get an address

Croozin2 06-16-2008 10:51 AM

Absolutely ridiculous!:angry-smiley-038:

That means Steve's check cleared................

TSPM 06-16-2008 10:56 AM

From the little bit I know.....OSO has fully migrated over to IB last week. They have the forums and the classifieds on one server instead of two separate ones like it was under Steve a few weeks ago....ERGO super slow loading and response times

AIR TIME 06-16-2008 11:04 AM

its not to bad for me today, but for a week it sucked I just went to other boat sites:grinser010:

I hope they fix it soon. It is getting so bad I think I shouldn't have renewed. This really sucks!!

Isn't it amazing that when any one of the millions of commercial businesses migrate hardware and software they're able to do it without these problems? If IB had a retail storefront that provided them transactional revenue, my guess is they'd have made this happen. Since they weren't worried about losing a nickle in this process, they can take the amateur-hour approach.

Rippem 06-16-2008 11:14 AM

the pages have been slower to load consistantly since the move.
today is just pissing me off...

I've updated my avatar to better reflect my OSO experience...

Some of the many sites IB acquired since OSO:
6SpeedOnline.com, Rennlist.com, G35Driver.com, MyG37.com, My350z.com, ZDriver.com, NorthAmericanMotoring.com, ScoobyNet.com and PuppyDogWeb.com.
And with 80 Million in cash they are in a great position to buy more.

fund razor 06-16-2008 11:40 AM

From the Sun Microsystems site, on the subject of IB leaving Linux for Solaris 10:

“ My IT staff members are experts in their field. So, when they call vendors for technical support, it's critical, and not something on which we can wait a day. We wanted a vendor that we could rely on for expert OS support. That’s why we went with Sun. ”
